This list includes both key activities and major functionality released through LionPATH. This list will be updated and expanded as activities and functionality continue to be released. Dates on this list are subject to change.
|Ongoing||Health insurance data collection||University Health Services is collecting data from students about their health insurance coverage in preparation for requiring all students to have coverage starting in the 2018-19 academic year. |Thanksgiving weekend 2017||Campus Solutions Software Upgrade||Over the Thanksgiving holiday, the LDMO will upgrade the underlying technology platform supporting the LionPATH (Campus Solutions). This upgrade is required to maintain support from the vendor, Oracle Corporation. Because this effort involves an extensive testing process of an upgraded version of the LionPATH production environment, we are freezing the release of enhancements from October 5th through December 7th.
As a technology upgrade, LionPATH users should not see any changes. Our efforts focus on ensuring that this is the case. To complete the upgrade, we will take LionPATH down from noon on Friday, November 24th through approximately noon on Sunday November 26th. If we finish and can bring the system on-line any earlier, we will make every effort to do so. The LDMO will work with key functional offices to plan any changes to batch job scheduling during system shutdown and any special scheduling around restart post-upgrade.
During the freeze, LionPATH will limit the release of enhancements to emergency fixes. Query migrations will occur as usual. During the freeze period, the LDMO team will continue to develop and test enhancements. Regular bi-weekly enhancement releases will resume on December 7th.
We are also actively working on the following set of items that currently have no confirmed release date:
- Academic renewal
- Certificate approval enabled in LionPATH
- New login/landing page
- Redesign look and feel of public.lionpath.psu.edu
- Campus Solutions upgrade to version 9.2 expected Winter 2018-19
- Analysis of time-consuming manual processes submitted by faculty and staff
